Behind the Vise is a new initiative from The Fly Box created to support American-based fly tyers—especially those working from home, behind the scenes, and on tight margins. Materials are expensive, and this craft isn’t always profitable.

Each round, we review applications and offer support to a small group of independent tyers. If you’re selected, you’ll have the full support of The Fly Box — including media coverage in our daily charity newsletter, social promotion, brand visibility, and our ongoing efforts to advocate for your craft. When we're able, that also includes material and financial support through our industry partners.​​
